Poetry is the language of imagination
Poetry is a form of positive creation

Poetry is a mirror which makes beautiful that which is distorted
Percy Bysshe Shelley

Join pioneering MC and producer D Double E as he presents Rhyme-Antics, a captivating celebration of the power of language. Delve into the heart of poetic expression, where the streets meet the stage and the beats meet the page – UKG, Jungle, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Grime...

While the original romantics Keats, Shelley, Byron and others reclaimed the human heart from the rise of the smokestacks, their contemporary counterparts find it beating as strongly as ever amidst the post-industrial debris.

Rhyme-Antics sees 21st century lyricists Deyah, Isatta Sheriff, TrueMendous, Wish Master and JayaHadADream paint vivid portraits of resilience, identity, and the art of the possible. From D Double E’s roots in UK Grime to Verbz’s haunting introspection via Speech Debelle’s tales of the city, each artist brings a unique flavour to savour.

Immerse yourself in a journey through time and space, where poetry bridges the gap between past and present, tradition and innovation, the world as it was, is and may yet be. Rhyme-Antics is an electrifying event that celebrates the power of words to inspire, provoke, unite and, above all, transport you to a nation of the imagination.
