Mad Hatter’s Daughter was born when Buzz T. Isles heard his wife Kira sing for the very first time. Though she never sang in front of people, they started to create music together and released acover of Trent Reznor’s “Hurt”. The subsequent popularity of the video with its raving reviews inspired the duo to go even further.
Eager to create songs for people all over the world, the duo invited British friend and songwriter Josiah Smithson to the party. The creative combination of all three members clicked immediately and opened doors to the UK in a rekindling of the historically significant musical relationship between Hamburg and England.
Whilst their first EPs “Life Affairs” and ”Walk with me” secured the band over 3 million streams and20 weeks of airplay in the German Charts, their brand new album “Where Are We Runnin” hasbeen produced together with Grammy nominated engineer Jeremy Murphy (Adele, Emeli Sandé). Jez helped to achieve the dynamic sound the band were after, one that could tip its hat to both younger and older generations.
The band's live references include shows in Europe, Dubai and on Maldives, selling out shows in DE & UK and playing venues as iconic as “Cavern Club” (The Beatles, Adele) and “Green Note”(Ed Sheeran, Amy Winehouse).
The name Mad Hatter's Daughter was originally Kira's idea for a fashion label. It was meant to evoke emotion, authenticity and handmade excellence, the same elements that now define themusic they make today. The multi-faceted songs, accented by Kira's deep and smoky voice, are compelling listens. “Female Rod Stewart“, “Adele“, “Stevie Nicks“ are just a few associations made by those who have been awed by her sultry voice.
