More information about Moving Music: the Memoirs of Rikki Stein tickets

Renowned music manager Rikki Stein has spent six decades touring the world’s most iconic musicians and groups, from The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Kinks, The Animals, The Yardbirds, The Moody Blues to the Grateful Dead to managing the Nigerian superstar, Fela Kuti and many other iconic artists.

Rikki has now detailed his adventure-packed career in a beautifully written new memoir Moving Music. The book takes readers on a journey alongside a man who was always in the right place at the right time, experiencing the great countercultural moments of the last century, from Woodstock and the Vietnam War Moratorium March to Altamont and the launch of Glastonbury Festival. Rikki’s journey is also a spiritual one, forged by his experience of living among the mountain community of the Master Musicians of Joujouka, Morocco.

For this event, Rikki talks to Kunle Olulode MBE about his extraordinary, sometimes hilarious journey and the joys, frustrations and surprises of juggling logistics, local politics and the whims of his creative clients to deliver true, life-enhancing moments of moving music.

Rikki Stein’s memoir is published by Wordville on 4th June 2024. Copies of the book will be on sale on the night at a special event price.
