Thandiswa Mazwai

Thandiswa has been one of the most influential post-Apartheid singers in South Africa. She began her career in 1996 with music groups Jack Knife and Bongo Maffin, one of the pioneering bands of the dance music genre Kwaito.

Her 4th album, Sankofa was released in May 2024, it combines archival Xhosa music, jazz and west African music. Collaborating with Meshell Ndegeocello, Nduduzo Makhatini, Thandi Ntuli, and Tendai Shoko to create an archival experience infused with something the now.

Known for her electrifying performances, expect Thandiswa to bring the Pan African Spirit to London.
