    Enjoy a day in Windsor, exploring at your own pace with this relaxing day trip by rail. Begin at Paddington Station, checking in at 8.50am in time for your departure at 9.21am. Meet a Golden Tours representative at the Information Desk (at Platform 2), and receive your welcome pack containing all you need for the day. All that’s left is to take your seats and head off towards Windsor.
    Explore the beautiful Berkshire town of Windsor at your own pace with its rich Royal history, pretty countryside walks and a quaint town centre.

    Visit Windsor Castle
    Discover why this impressive castle is The Queen’s favourite weekend residence and explore the rich history contained within its walls. See Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, explore the opulent State Apartments with their priceless artworks, including pieces by Rembrandt and Leonardo Da Vinci and pay a visit to St George’s Chapel, the final resting place of Queen Mary, Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.

    The tour is unescorted, accompanied by an audio guide and lasts approximately two hours.

    You are free to choose when you return. Trains return to London every 20-30 minutes until approximately 10pm

    A Royal Wedding Exhibition – HRH Princess Eugenie 1 Mar 2019 - 22 Apr 2019

    This spring, have the extra special chance to explore the Royal Wedding exhibition at Windsor Castle. Celebrating the marriage of HRH Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank, this exhibition will display the Princess’s exquisite wedding dress, HRH Princess Beatrice of York’s maid-of-honour dress and for the first ever time, the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, which was lent to Princess Eugenie by Her Majesty The Queen.

    Please note: on 28th April 2019, last admission to the Castle will be 12.00pm and last admission to the State Apartments will be 12.30pm with Castle closure at 1.00pm

    St. George’s Chapel closed

    St. George’s Chapel is also closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services. 

    Queen Mary's Dolls' House

    Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House is currently closed until further notice.

    • Queen Mary's Dolls' House at Windsor Castle will be closed to visitors from Friday, 6 July, until further notice.
