Thin Air Dates and Times

Thin Air

Thin Air’s opening chapter takes the audience on a transformative journey of experiential installations, through the boundaries of light, sound and space.

Thin Air explores the hidden complexities that shape the world we live in. Using digital technology and large-scale installation, international artists will transform the spaces of The Beams from 17th March to 4th June 2023.

The first act opens with work by international contemporary artists including 404.zero, James Clar, Robert Henke, Kimchi and Chips with Rosa Menkman, Matthew Schreiber, S E T U P and UCLA Arts Conditional Studio.

Please note : This exhibition features strobe lights and areas of loud sound and can affect those with photosensitivity and sensitivity to noise.

There are no dates currently available.

Ticketing Information

Thin Air closes on June 4, final tickets now remaining.

We recommend booking a ticket in advance of your visit to avoid missing out on your preferred date and time.

Please note that the Beams closes 60 minutes after the last available time slot.

Some of the installations feature extremely dark rooms, strobe lights & loud sounds (up to 98db), so we wouldn’t recommend the exhibition for children aged 6 and under. Younger children are welcome at the discretion of parents and carers, but we recommend the use of ear defenders which will be available for those that require it onsite.

Entry for children 3 and under is free, but you will still need to book a ticket.

Off-peak tickets are valid on weekdays before 5pm, excluding bank holidays.

Early Bird rates are available on Adult tickets booked at least 14 days in advance of visit.

To enquire about group bookings, please fill out this form or contact the Groups team on 0800 086 2714.
